Pottery Cafe is studio where you can decorate your own beautiful pottery supplied exclusively by Emma Bridgewater.  All ages enjoy making gifts and mementoes, throwing a pottery party or just stopping to indulge in a good cup of coffee.  Our studios also have a ‘Little Toy shop’ selling a range of traditional and wooden toys for younger children.

Duties: We are looking for a positive and well-organised Manager to work in our Richmond studio . The ideal candidate will have good retail experience and have exceptional people skills.  You will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the studio and for hosting our valued customers. You will be need to act well under pressure and be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.  You will be adept at working with people in your team, but also be skilled at dealing with difficult customer situations.
 
Other responsibilities will involve:
- ordering stock
- checking deliveries
- email communications
- planning and implementing seasonal displays
- staffing rotas and being involved  in recruitment
- banking and till reconciliation
- computer literate
- day to day personnel issues
- carrying heavy boxes
- washing up and general efficient and speedy housekeeping
- shop security and opening and closing.

- You must enjoy working with mum’s, babies and children
- Have an interest in art and pottery and in children’s wares and toys.

We offer good remuneration, a target related bonus scheme and generous discount.

Hours: 40 hours
Salary: £7-8/hr plus monthly bonus
