The Pottery Cafe was one of the first decorating studios in the country and this year we celebrate our tenth birthday! The occasion is being marked with the launch of our own  exclusive  Emma Bridgewater 'Splat' mug (see photo left and more info in What's On). Come and see what it's all about - either in our London studios or across the water at our pottery on the Isle of Wight. People of all ages visit to make gifts and mementoes, throw a party, browse The Little Toy Shop or just meet friends for coffee.

Visit our working pottery on the Island  

Our small, family-run working pottery is situated in the beautiful unspoilt West Wight countryside. Visit our studio where we produce our own 'Chessell Ware' and stay to have a go yourself in our popular pottery decorating studio. Our pottery shapes are either our own hand made designs  or they are bought in exclusively from Emma Bridgewater.  You are very welcome to pop in just to browse our beautiful Gift Barn and stay for lunch or a cream tea in our peaceful courtyard cafe.  Come and see our new willow Wigwam! Be inspired

The Pottery Cafe and the pottery on the Island has a unique studio atmosphere with seating for up to 50.  Big enough to throw a party, meet friends for coffee or hold a work outing. Above all relax and be encouraged to have a go! You don't need to be artistic either - we have designed and created a range of unique decorating sponges that make decorating pottery fun and easy. 

Why not join us on one of our late nights from 6 to 10pm. It's a particularly relaxing atmosphere on an evening (adults only!) so bring a bottle to really help you unwind. 

Capture your baby's first footprints

Capture their first tiny footprints on pottery - forever! - with this novel decorating kit. The  boxed kit can be sent anywhere in the country (with your own personal message if it's a gift)  or you can order it to have a go yourselves in the comfort of your own home.
